Joe Waine

Hi, I'm Joe Waine

Design engineer in New York, working on AI products and native apps. Currently at Fractal Tech.

## Projects

Aletheia 🔗

Personalized meditation web app. Tap a mood and an instant guided session streams in seconds, or fill out a short form and a meditation tailored to your energy, mood, concern, and (optional) Oura biometrics is written and narrated for you. Shareable session links.

Sing All The Time 🔗

I've been trying to sing more, so I made something fun for it :) Drop in an mp3 or paste a link — two minutes later vocals are stemmed and lyrics transcribed. Pick a phrase, it counts you in, and the target notes scroll past while you sing.

Endel Insights 🔗

Biometric-driven soundscape companion for Endel. Pulls Oura Ring data, interprets your physical state, explains why a soundscape was chosen, and plays procedurally generated audio. React, Claude API, Web Audio API.

Nadi Mama 🔗

Three-restaurant ordering platform I built from scratch for Nadi Mama, a Seattle Levantine restaurant group. Shipped to production and went offline after the group pivoted; this sandbox preserves the menu-to-checkout flow with a local API stub so the UX stays clickable. Nuxt 3, Vue 3, Tailwind.

txtinsted 🔗

SMS-powered service layer — book Ubers, send Venmo payments, check bus times from a flip phone. No app, no browser, no smartphone. Built with Node.js, Twilio, browser automation.

LotusVoice

Push-to-talk dictation for macOS. Hold a key, speak, release — text appears at your cursor. Local Whisper AI transcription, no cloud. Native Swift app.

Face Temperature

Trained Stable Diffusion on 39 photos of my face, then explored what happens when you push the temperature dial. AI image generation and fine-tuning experiment.

Wainestock

A free, DIY music festival I organized and ran at Volunteer Park Amphitheater in Seattle from 2018 to 2023. Three days, 20+ acts, butterflies on the website, bubble wands in the grass, and everything paid for out of pocket. People called it "a basement show in a lovely park setting" and "late summer cottagecore." It's on pause while I'm in New York, but I'd love to bring it back when the time is right.
